First Meeting for Camrose and Area Children’s Choirs
Interested singers for ALL of our three groups should plan to come together on Tuesday, Sept 15, 2020 at 5pm for about an hour, at Camrose United Church.
Protocols for the meeting will be as follows:
- Masks for everyone. (Please speak to Joy-Anne before September 11 if you do not have a mask at this point, and would like to purchase a pleated mask, or are interested in a roomier “singer’s mask”. Regular masks are $7, the singer’s mask would be $12.)
- Hand sanitizer is available at the door, or you may choose to wash in one of our restrooms.
- One parent may accompany any child who would prefer not to come in by themself. We’ll have plenty of room for singers to be distanced from each other, and even to make sure any parent can be close to their singer!
- Currently we cannot sing together, but we can talk about what we have planned for the year, and we’ll be able to hum through a couple of things and play some games that don’t involve moving around too much.
We’ll use that in-person time to confirm how we’ll be organizing our online connection with everyone, and when and how we can get together in person for the first while.

Fall 2020 Auditions for Camrose Camerata
Camerata is always looking for singers to join our auditioned adult chamber choir! We sing all styles and eras of choral music, exploring the full range of beautiful colours that the human voice can create when joined with other voices. We rehearse Monday evenings from 7-9, and are looking at ways to continue our rehearsals and performances in the time of COVID-19. If you would like to explore singing with us, please contact Joy-Anne at firstname.lastname@example.org
First meeting for Camrose Camerata
Stay tuned for a second “picnic in the park” edition of Camerata in COVID and summer! Notice will be given to current singers, and posted here.
Camerata will meet in person on Monday, September 21, venue TBA. This first meeting will be to get music and listen to some of it with either humming or active listening. We’ll know better by this date whether we can rehearse in person with precautions (such as masks, distancing, hand hygiene, the usual drill!), or whether we need to
